Building a greener future
At Creaplan, sustainability is not an afterthought - it's embedded in how we design, source, build, and collaborate. From circular stand systems to responsible procurement, we're reshaping what the exhibition industry can be.
Sustainability policies
Our mission
We design and build experiences that inspire and connect people while respecting the environment and contributing to a more sustainable future, integrating sustainability into every step - from concept and design to production and logistics.
Our sustainability pillars
Circular design & waste reduction
We prioritise modular and reusable stand concepts. Our goal is to achieve a 70% material reuse rate across projects and a 50% reduction in single-use materials by 2029, with waste sorting exceeding 90% onsite.
target: 2029
Sustainable materials
All wood we use is FSC- or PEFC-certified. Metals are recycled or fully recyclable. Plastics are bio-based or recycled, and single-use plastics are avoided wherever possible. Materials are designed from the outset for reuse, modularity, and disassembly.

Efficient production & logistics
We continuously optimise transport routes to reduce deliveries and emissions per project. We're evaluating the transition to electric vehicles and prioritise local sourcing to cut transport-related carbon output.
target: 2026
Climate responsibility
We work toward reducing our carbon footprint across all operations. Our 2029 target is a 25% reduction in CO₂ emissions from transport and production, tracked through a monthly KPI dashboard and quarterly audits.
target: 2029
Responsible partnerships
Sustainability criteria are integrated into 100% of our supplier selection. We evaluate partners on environmental, social, and ethical standards, and collaborate actively to help them improve performance over time.
ongoing
People & workplace
We are committed to a safe, inclusive, and inspiring work environment. By 2027, 100% of our employees wil have completed sustainability training. A dedicated sustainability committee, established in 2026, drives internal progress.
target: 2027
Responsible procurement
Minimal & reusable packaging
Suppliers must minimise packaging and prioritise reusable transport solutions such as returnable crates and pallets.
Energy-efficient production
Preference is given to suppliers powered by renewable energy who continuously reduce their production emissions.
Ethical labour practices
All partners must comply with fair labour standards. No child labour, forced labour, or unsafe working conditions are tolerated anywhere in our supply chain.
Take-back & end-of-life
Suppliers are encouraged to implement take-back schemes. End-of-life solutions are planned at the procurement stage, not after.
Suppliers policy

- ISO 14001 - environmental management
- ISO 20121 - event sustainability

Better Stands
Moving towards better stands together.
Since May 2026, we are a proud member of Better Stands, an initiative uniting the events and exhibitions industry to adopt reusable stands, with the goal of ensuring smarter, safer, and more sustainable solutions globally.
Better Stands works with the Better Stands Framework, a 10-point checklist that rates stand reusability across four tiers: Single Use, Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Every stand can be broken down into ten categories, and the components of each are evaluated against this scale. The framework is designed to be accessible to all build types, whether you're new to sustainability or already a pioneer, and allows for gradual progress, celebrating each step taken towards fully reusable stands.
