Van Marcke is a Belgian company specialising in warmth and water home appliances, offering anything for the bathroom, kitchen and more. At Batibouw, Belgium’s biggest construction and renovation trade fair, we put customer experience at the centre of the booth. To do so, we combined premium stand design with innovative technologies in collaboration with Ocular.

The stand is made up of multiple boxes – ranging from the HVAC box to the design radiator box – each showcasing a Van Marcke product or innovation. The technological integrations supported the product presentation and encouraged the visitor to interact with the various products.
Black steel profiles create separations in the stand without making it look smaller, resulting in a feeling of spaciousness.
From sliding LED screen to James the robot
Ocular is expert in interactive customer experiences. They provided the stand with various applications that put Van Marcke's product range in the spotlight in a fun and exciting way.
- The LED light boxes on top of the stand show the Van Marcke logo, but add a dynamic element. Clearly visible, yet more striking than a static display
- The sliding LED screen allows you to 'scan' the bathroom to get more information on the different products
- A transparent OLED screen uses an animation to demonstrate how a shower toilet works
- James the robot welcomes the visitor, brings them to the part of the booth they want to visit and gives more information
The importance of customer interaction at your booth
How do these technological applications push the stand to a higher level? First and foremost, they make your booth stand out and more appealing to visit: after all, an interactive experience is way more interesting than a static information board. In addition, interactive applications create more involvement with the visitor. They will test and play around with your product range more quickly.
But it doesn't stop there: after the exhibition visit, the visitor will remember your stand and products better, while your brand will linger in the back of their heads longer. Finally, the technologies also help the sales reps inform the customer – for them as well the information is more easily accessible.
Collaboration between interior and technology
Evidently, the design of the stand was also looked after with great care. Black steel profiles create separations in the stand without making it look smaller, resulting in a feeling of spaciousness. They add a sober, modern touch that complements the technological integrations.
With the decorative furnishings, our designers tried to emulate a feeling of homeliness: as if you step into your own bathroom and immediately see how a Van Marcke product would fit into your home.
As always, we went for a meticulous finish with an eye for detail and used only high-quality materials that emphasise the quality of Van Marcke products.
